Meet Your Coaches |
Head Coach Sarah Lear began year round swimming when she was 8 years old. She swam until she was 16 yrs old for Longhorn Aquatics (Texas Aquatics), Texas Gold and Bowie High School. Her best and favorite event was the 200 Butterfly. She started coaching the Shady Hollow Stingrays at 17 yrs old as assistant coach and coached there for 6 years. The last year she was head coach and pregnant. She tookthe summer of 2004 off with her new baby. In 2005, Coach Sarah returned to coaching as head coach of the newly formed Barracudas! The rest is history! |
Asst. Coach Tinee orginally began year round swimming in North Carolina at age seven. In middle school she stopped swimming year round. She returned to competitive swimming at Bowie High School. Her favorite stoke is backstroke and she is excited to be a Barracudas swim coach this year! She is a Sophomore in college with a major in Education. |
iCoach Kristin Seiter has been on the swim team since it began in 2005. Currently, she is a sophmore at Bowie High School. Kristin will be leaving swim team in the middle of the season to go to Germany with her school. Kristin says, "I'm super excited to be an iCoach this year, and I know we will have a great year. Go Barracudas!" |
iCoach Sarah Good is a sophmore at Bowie High School. She has been on the Barracudas swim team since the first year it started! She really thinks we have a chance at beating the Stingrays this year as well. Coaching has been a lot of fun and she can't wait to keep doing it! "All the kids are loads of fun and I love coming to practices with them!" exclaims Sarah. |
Asst. Coach "Drill Sergeant" Mark is a Lake Travis Fire Fighter. Coach Mark just finished with the latest round of firefighter recruits and jumped at the chance to whip some kids into firefighter shape. Coach Mark has been Lifeguard, swim instructor and pool manager for 7 years. He and his wife recently had a baby girl. Although this is his first year coaching an official swim team, he is really liking it and looks forward to many more seasons as a Barracuda! |
Cara has been helping with the swimmers, too. Although she is not an iCoach she might as well be since she has been such a BIG help! |
iCoach Andrew likes to eat frogs and lizards for dinner. He started swimming in swamps when he was 3 years old and likes to wrestle alligators in his spare time. He is really fun coach and enjoys helping our young swimmers. |
